Just on the heels of my last couple posts Runners World has released another motivational poster! I have to say that this poster goes a long way towards summing up why I run and defines much of my motivation during the most difficult parts of any run.

Make some noise!
Today I will talk about some of my recent running experiences as I have traditionally run with my wife but lately, due to a flareup of plantar fasciitis, have had to run on my own which has opened me up to a bunch of new experiences. I now have to be more cautious of my pace as I don't have my coach with me, I have to pay attention to where I am going since she usually keeps me on the right path, and I have received more attention from people driving or running past me.

Another RW Motivational Poster
Thanks to the team at RunnersWorld.com for releasing another motivational poster!
I would argue this a little though. I don't mind the snow and ice as much as I mind the 25mph wind on my run the other day. The wind chill brought the relative temperature down pretty close to Zero-degrees Fahrenheit and marked one of only a very small handful of times when I actually turned in from a run due to the weather.

Runners World Motivational Poster
Many thanks to Runners World for the creation of this poster. I love it and hope they come out with many more as the year goes on.
2011 Reflection - Introduction
What better way could there be to wrap up a year where you ran 2 half marathons and a couple other shorter races? How about signing up for another half marathon in 2012 and getting some of your best friends to go along with it!
